Joseph R. Weisberger, Au.D.

Doctor of Audiology

Meet Joseph R. Weisberger, Au.D.

Dr. Weisberger has been a practicing audiologist since 2012 and has helped countless patients overcome the obstacles of hearing loss. He received his Bachelor of Science in Communicative Disorders (Speech Language Pathology & Audiology) from the University of Rhode Island, and went on to earn his clinical doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) degree at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. During his enrollment at Bloomsburg, he gained a wealth of clinical experience at various ENT clinics, hospitals and private practices. He also completed his doctoral thesis while studying at Bloomsburg.

Originally from Rhode Island, he returned home to complete his clinical fellowship year at one of the state’s largest ENT practices. While working alongside an otoneurologist during his residency, he became familiar with many complex audiological profiles and disorders of the auditory system. It was during this time that he met and worked alongside Dr. Gauthier as part of his residency!

Dr. Weisberger holds his Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech Language & Hearing Association (ASHA), and is licensed to practice in the state of Rhode Island. Dr. Weisberger specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of hearing loss and tinnitus, as well as the latest hearing instrument and assistive listening technology. He has special interests in noise-induced hearing loss and psychoacoustics. He is experienced with patient populations ranging from children to adults.

Dr. Weisberger spends most of his free time with his wife and two small children. He enjoys boating, sporting clays, hiking and going to the beach.
